Description
Up for auction is the original US pressing of John and Yoko's random and avant-garde "Unfinished Music Number 1. Two Virgins" featuring such delights as Yoko's unborn child's heartbeat and John and Yoko calling each other's names on and on and on- but don't let this put you off bidding!
The record comes minus its original 'brown paper bag' sleeve, which I never had when I bought it from a collector. It is the first US pressing T-5001 and is in pretty much immaculate condition on the vinyl and pretty decent quality of sleeve. The only marking comes in the form of the name 'Mo' (could it have been owned by Ringo's first wife?!- not a guarantee!) written in small letters in biro on both sides of the apple picture.
Wording on the front, ' full frontal' side of the sleeve reads:
"When two great Saints meet it is a humbling experience. The long battles to prove he was a saint."-- Paul McCartney

and on the rear/nude butt side reads:
Apple records, in association with Tetragrammation Records. T-5001 May 1968. Made in Merrie England.
My reason for selling is to raise hard-earned funds and I'm beginning to have to shed my Beatles collection- the avant-garde stuff goes first, I'm afraid!
