Description
GENUINE ORIGINAL FIRST australian pressing 12 inch.. ex condition ( no marks light or deep ) loss of gloss ( if not for this it would have been ex + ) = ex sleeve nice copy plays great but read in detail below if your anal,,i played from start to finish with headphones at loud levels ,,investment grade collectable piece
This is the Australian 12" RED vinyl ANGEL OF HARLEM . EXCLUSIVE TO AUSTRALIA. . This is one of only 250 Pressed - in the world and it is an official FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA - from 1989.
- these are very hard to find even here in country of issue,,i have only had 1 before about 9 years ago. even though it is in excellent condition it does have some discolouration - resulting from the original packaging ( hard plastic sleeve ) and humidty. ( nearly none of these these days do not have this issue as it seems 99 per cent of them have it from a quick search on auction site results most have been sold with this )
CONDITION: vinyl visually excellent as in no scratches or paper scuffs etc,,,however has the discoloration / loss of gloss as mentioned,,absolutely sits flat on turntable
PLAYBACK===== plays angel of harlem side nearly perfect a bit of background noise for a split second then loud clear playback no pops or clicks on my turntable
a room at the heartbreak hotel song has a bit of background surface noise very light ( probably from discoloration issue ) for the first 20 to 30 seconds then music gets loud and plays great right till the end where there are 2 pops ( not skips ) most dealers wouldnt mention as this is being anal but i like my buyers happy check my feedback ....love rescue me song some background noise but rarely
COVER === nice excellent example ex grade,, no edge tears or seam wear/ splits whatsoever,,,see photos
it is in the Record Collectors Top 60 U2 rarities. and it rates at No.46,,,,,,, I have heard they have gone for - ( even with the discolouration ) at $480 before. ( i have seen it go over $400 several times in the last few years most of them with the discoloration )U2 ANGEL OF HARLEM 12" RED VINYL COUNTRY: AUSTRALIA CATALOGUE NUMBER : X14672
