U2 Boy RARE OZ LP 20th Anniversary Limited Edition w/diff. label & sticker EX
Rare OZ reissue LP released in 1982 on Island Records. Cat: L37517. Comes with printed lyric inner bag which has some light age spots and is in VG+ condition. Features rare Island 20th Anniversary labels and hype sticker on front top left of cover.From the outset, U2 went for the big message every song on their debut album Boy sounds huge, with oceans of processed guitars cascading around Bono's impassioned wail. It was an inspired combination of large, stadium-rock beats and post-punk textures. Without the Edge's echoed, ringing guitar, U2 would have sounded like a traditional hard rock band, since the rhythm section and Bono treat each song as an anthem. Of course, that's the charm of Boy: all of its emotions are on the surface, delivered with optimistic, youthful self-belief, yet the unusual, distinctive guitar textures give it an unexpected tension that makes it an exhilarating debut.

Record has a few light scuff marks that produce a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few light marks and tiny surface tears around edges and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
