U2 - Boy 1980 release - Ultra Rare CBS Irish First Pressing Album
U2 - Boy 1980 release - Ultra Rare EMI UK First Pressing Album
Always conservative with gradings - the records are as good as you will find - vinyl and labels look absolutely superb for pieces over 40 years old - beautiful shine and gloss and as close to mint as you will find.
Only the second copy of the Irish and UK EMI pressing I have seen in over 7 years of collecting....a great couple of records in brilliant condition and ultra rare to find. These have been acquired whilst attending many record fairs within the UK, Ireland and Europe - an excellent opportunity to obtain both of these rare pieces in one go!
Currently thinning out my ever-increasing collection - a very reluctant sale.
Please note this was the bands first release on album and were produced / issued in very limited numbers on the CBS label in Ireland only - and are the 'go to' record for any serious U2 collector. The EMI pressing which is the earliest UK pressing is now also high on the collectors wish list and becoming as rare to find as the CBS. See the EMI reference on the rim of the label. This differentiates such a copy from other later pressings.
Very small (Price) sticker residue / cover removal to front of sleeve - the vinyl more than makes up for this. This applies to both albums - see photos.
Inners in good shape - the Irish still contains the original 'BASE' record shop label / promo print - these were based in Dublin back in the early eighties.
A great collectible for any fan or general buyer of great and collectible vinyl - a lovely piece of musical history!
Please see my many other listings including several other U2 and music related pieces.
Please see my many other records for sale including others from U2 and other items of memorabilia - more being added all the time.
