Description
"Pop" is the ninth studio album by the Irish rock band U2, released on March 3rd, 1997. The album was a continuation of the band's 1990's reinvention, as they pursued a new musical direction by combining alternative rock, techno, dance, and electronica influences. The album employs a variety of production techniques relatively new to U2, including sampling, loops, programmed drum machines and sequencing. Recording sessions began in 1995 with various record producers, including Nellee Hooper, Flood, Howie B, and Steve Osborne who were introducing the band to various electronica influences. "Pop" reached #1 in 35 countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States. "Pop" was certified Platinum by the RIAA on May 5th, 1997. This record is the Limited Edition Original UK Pressing on Double Vinyl. The catalog # on the spine is: U2 10 524 334-1. The matrix # on the bar code is: 7 31452 43341 1. It is in EX++/NM condition and is SEALED! The record does have a corner "ding" on the front, lower right of the lp.
