Our collectable vinyl re-issues are as close as possible to the original LPs.

The LPs are mastered at Half Speed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, then pressed onto 180g vinyl, offering the listener the best ever sounding version of the album.

The recordings are remastered by Jon Astley (The Who, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison & many others).

The sleeves are printed from superior quality scans with detailed reproduction artwork.

UFO paved the way for British heavy metal and astounded fans back in 1970. The group was flash and showy on stage, but as their first album ‘UFO 1’ reveals, they had bags of energy and ideas in the studio too. Here is the early Psych-Space Rock sound of a group with a big future that would come to dominate the Seventies.

This early version of UFO shows Phil Mogg (vocals) Pete Way (bass), Mick Bolton (guitar) and Andy Parker (drums) developing their unique space rock style with blues roots. ‘Unidentified Flying Object’ is a typical song of the period, showcasing Bolton’s Hendrix influenced guitar and Mogg’s intense vocals.

UFO ebneten den Weg für den britischen Heavy Metal und gewannen Anfang der 70er Jahre jede Menge Fans. Die Band war Live ein Erlebnis aber auch ihr erstes Album »UFO 1« war voller genialer Ideen und die Studioaufnahmen waren energiegeladen. Es war der für die Band typische Psych-Space Rock Sound, der auch die musikalische Zukunft der 70er Jahre mitbestimmen sollte. In dieser frühen Besetzung mit Phil Mogg (vocals) Pete Way (bass), Mick Bolton (guitar) und Andy Parker (drums) entwickelten sie ihren ureignenen Space-Rock Stil mit Ausflügen in den Blues.
