DEBUT ALBUM from this wonderful British band but playing in a proggressive 'space rock' style similar to a mash-up of Pink Floyd and Hawkwind. Of course the changed style later in their career after recruiting Michael Schenker and signing to the Chrysalis label. This record is, funnily enough, revered by prog and psych freaks as a cornerstone record - one of the UK's most impressive psych workouts and featuring at least two killer tracks in 'Boogie For George' and '(Come Away) Melinda'.

Tough to find as it sold so few copies on release - several budget reissues were made available over the years but this, my friends, is the 1st pressing.

Pressing: Beacon, UK, 1971

Vinyl: Clean condition. Displays spindle marks and light signs of use. A smattering of non audible scuffs can be seen when held under a very bright light mainly caused by sliding in and out of the inner sleeve. Previous owners name written in the tiniest lettering on side one label - a certain Terry Parkhouse (buy back your album my friend!). Oh hold on - I see that the mastering engineer was a certain Terry Parkhouse - so maybe the name is not written but actually printed on the label. Grades as Ex

Cover: Signs of use. Issued in a sparsely designed laminated but thin cover. Sharp corners, one very ding, light ring wear to rear unlaminated panel, no split seams and a number of small storage creases. Displays light handling and storage wear on both panels. Spine is straight and largely uncrushed. Grades as Vg+

This is a vinyl album NOT a CD. No time wasters, nit pickers or deadbeats- retribution will be swift and mercyless. Bidders with very low feedback new to ebay are often deadbeats so please don't be surprised if I run a check on you in advance. All gradings are visual but may have been spot tested to double check. I very rarely list records that are in any way scratched- they go in the trash- and I will only list a scratched record if scarcity dictates otherwise but with full disclosure. Often vinyl display 'scuffs' which are surface marks (mostly caused by sliding in and out of the inner sleeve or careless handling) but NOT scratches and they do not have any effect on playback. If the vinyl has a scuff I will try and mention it. Even my Vg+ records are way better than most gradings on ebay- check my feedback for vindication.Gradings are cover/vinyl. All records are sold as-is that means no refunds or returns except in very rare circumstances. I am not a lending libary so don't ask for a refund (I've been burn't in the past with people buying records, taping or CDRing and then returning them and I've also had scratched records returned in place of clean albums).
