Description

"Strangers in the Night" is a live double album by the British rock band UFO, released in January 1979 on the Chrysalis label. The original double LP album was recorded in autumn 1978 at shows in Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky. This was UFO's last concert recording with guitarist Michael Schenker before the band's reunion in 1993. Schenker departed the band immediately after the tour ended and it has been rumored that he refused to record any overdubs for the album, which would make this an accurate account of his live guitar work. "Strangers in the Night" peaked at #7 on the UK charts, and #42 on the US charts. "Strangers in the Night" is often listed by critics and fans as one of the best live rock albums of all time. I tend to agree with this statement. Kerrang! magazine listed the album at #47 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time". Slash, former guitarist of Guns N' Roses and current guitarist for Velvet Revolver, has stated this is his favorite live album. This is the Original 1979 US Vinyl Pressing SEALED!!  It also has the Original Hype Sticker from 1979..please see pic. The catalog # on the spine is: CH2 1209. The bar code matrix # is: 0 7558-51209-1. There is a slight "dent" on the back, lower right corner of the lp, but is difficult to see. Overall Condition is EX++!!  Superb Condition for being 33 year old!!  Shrink is tight. Record was also stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. Media Mail ($6) will take 3 to 5 weeks due to being shipped by boat from Hawaii..not air!  Priority is $13, not $7 from Hawaii. International bidders please contact. Hate to sell this one...one of my all time favorite albums...
