Description

Artist: 'Ugly Custard'

Album: 'Ugly Custard'

Label: UK Kaleidoscope / Turnover Records (KAL 100) 1971
Record Condition: VG/VG+ (Several non-audible lines that do not effect the records sound quality, plays EX)

Sleeve Condition: VG/VG+ (General ware, laminating creases)

Notes: Group consisting of four UK studio/session musicians who just released two LPs in 1970/1971. The band contains library composer and mastermind 'Alan Parker' on guitar, drummer 'Clem Cattini', 'Herbie Flower' on bass and 'Roger Coulam' who provides a heavy organ driven sound. Hard funky prog rock & blues is the result. All tracks written by 'Alan Parker' appart from the two covers and 'Custard´s last stand' which is by 'Alan Park' & 'Alan Hawkshaw'. This tune is a beefed up version of Alan Hawkshaw & Alan Parkers famous hammond funk library cut 'MOVE MOVE MOVE'. Very funky, hard sound with screaming hammond workouts, percussive breaks & tunes along with some class blues etc. I also have the 'Rumplestiltskin' LP up for grabs which has nearly the same line up as 'Ugly Custard'.
