Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +21,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. "Get A Whiff Of This" was Juicy Lucy's third and final album ...formed out of the ashes of the great '60s psych band "The Misunderstood" by the great guitarist glenn Ross Campbell, Juicy Lucy captured the attention of the underground rock world with great gritty blues rockers...they even scored a chart single with a ripping version of "Who Do You Love"
"Get A Whiff Of This" offers a perfect balanced sound with a deep and clear bass. And the guitar work by Glenn Ross Campbell is often understated but at the same time evident thoughout with impressive chops and fills...
The album was Juicy Lucy's third album in 18 months, and the third to draw as much attention for its artwork as its contents, would prove to be the band's last. Although there actually was a fourth Juicy Lucy album that appeared in 1972, but not a single founding member was left on board.
Get a Whiff of This itself was very much the son of their second album "Lie Back And enjoy It" ...Highlights include the blistering antiwar anthem "Midnight Sun", while a take on the Allmans' "Midnight Rider" remains one of that particular anthem's most dynamic killer revisions. Elsewhere, both the fast finger pickin' courtesy of Glenn Ross Campbell on "Jessica" and a tight catchy rendition of Spirits great "Mr Skin" should surely catch attention in a hurry ... Other highlights include "Harvest" and "Big Lil" where the guitar break goes clean through the whole song. The vocals, the guitar work, the backing spice are perfectly suited on this album. Probably not for anyone who isn't attracted to blues-rock styles with raw vocals.
Juicy Lucy didn't get their dues in the late and early '70s but 40 years later underground rock collectors finally caught on...
