Description

RCA Living Stereo SB 2014, first red label disc with silver spot, pressed in England by Decca. This is the rare early "pancake" pressing, on heavy flat-edged vinyl.  Stampers are 1K 1K.  Laminated sleeve with Living Stereo logo at the bottom.  Recorded in Vienna by Decca.  Never issued in stereo as a shaded dog LSC, this is the only early stereo issue.

Mendelssohn, excerpts from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Schubert, Rosamunde, with Pierre Monteux and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.  See pics for program details.

Disc VG++, just some light sleeve marks, minimal spindle wear.  Play-graded, plays nicely, with some scattered light tics.  Nice sound and performance.  Not a top copy, but still a very enjoyable copy of a very rare record. jacket VG+
