We acquired a large collection of classical albums from a few different sellers that we've had for quite awhile.  We have around 1,000-1,500 classical albums that we will be listing over the coming weeks/months.  Two thirds, or so the albums were acquired from a former DJ at WBLJ up the road in Dalton, GA.  Back in the 1960s/70s, the station was on the AM dial and played a ton of classical and jazz.  More than half of the albums are radio station promos and virtually every album is in absolutely remarkable condition.  Sorry, but I'm an album collector and love jazz, so I won't be selling those.

SINCE WE HAVE AN ULTRASONIC CLEANING MACHINE, WE HAVE DECIDED TO ULTRASONICALLY CLEAN ALL OF THE ALBUMS THAT WE WILL BE LISTING.  WE HAVE QUITE THE EXTENSIVE ALBUM COLLECTION, SO WE CLEAN OUR OWN ALBUMS. WE CLEAN ALL ALBUMS FOR 20 MINUTES @ 50 DEGREES CELSIUS (122 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT).

We are NOT professional graders, nor do we offer professional grades on any of our albums.  We visually inspect the albums after ultrasonically cleaning them.  We do NOT typically play test our albums, but we do on occasion and will note if done so.  The ultrasonic cleaning results in absolutely outstanding, jet black vinyl and removes all dust, grime, lint, etc. in the grooves of the album.  Ultrasonic cleaning does NOT remove scratches and if they are pronounced enough, scratches will still create pops, ticks, etc.  We will note any scratches, or other damage if we see any upon visual inspection.

We will be listing albums that we visually estimate to be in VG playing condition at a minimum and we will provide brief descriptions of the albums, sleeves and covers.  If you have any questions, or if you are an overzealous collector who is adamant about condition, please ask ANY and EVERY question before deciding to make a purchase.  Our feedback rating is among the best around and that is because we try to be as honest and forthcoming about everything we sell and we will always honor any return request for any reason.

Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is an ULTRASONICALLY CLEANED Kathleen Ferrier, Bach-Handel Recital LP, SXL 2234, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult and released in the United Kingdom by Decca in 1960.

After cleaning this album, we visually inspected it and it is incredibly clean with nice shiny black vinyl and the labels are equally impressive.  You can see some spindle marks on the labels when looking at them at an angle, but not when looking straight on.  The album does have a handful of extremely light scratches with one of them looking bad enough to cause noise when played.  Just in case there is a pop or two, we'll say this album is a very strong VG to a very nice VG+.

The sleeve and album cover are also in very nice condition with no seam splits, writing, or similar damage.  As you probably know, these album covers on these vintage Decca albums were made out of a very thin paper stock that was laminated and are prone to more wear than rigid covers.  With that said, the album cover isn't too bad, but there is some wear and there are some spots where the laminate separated from the paper stock which is pretty common on these older European albums.

This album will be shipped in an album box via media mail with the USPS.  We leave our albums inside the sleeves and the sleeves inside the album covers and wrap it in a double layer of bubble wrap for protection during shipping.  We'll also put this album between pieces of cardboard for extra protection.
