UMBERTO TOZZI

“UMBERTO TOZZI”

“incluye TE AMO”

(E’ Nell’ Aria….. Ti Amo)

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original CBS Records STEREO press released in Chile in 1978 by EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A. Records, trademark and licensed from CBS Inc. USA, catalog number 15269, matrix numbers CGD 20058 A 1 in Side 1 and CGD 20058 B 1 in Side 2, with orange CBS labels, black letters, white “Discos CBS” and yellow squared CBS logo. What a nice find and what a SUPERB condition. A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Umberto Tozzi and Italian Pop of the ‘70’s!!!

“E’ NELL’ ARIA….. TI AMO” (known as “Ti amo”) was originally released in 1977 and at the end of the same year it was released here in Chile with the international US artwork with the picture of the “Mona Lisa”. It was a major success and then Umberto Tozzi released his album “TU” and Spanish versions of some of his previous hits. That was the time the Spanish versions came to South America, licensed from CBS Spain, and then here in Chile, in 1978, EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A. Records decided to release the new versions and stopped the production of original “E’ Nell’ Aria….. Ti Amo” and started the production of this exclusive record of Umberto Tozzi, including Spanish versions of some hits and songs of both albums, “Ti Amo” and “Tu”. That’s already a curiousity, but the goal in this record is that for the first pressings of the Spanish-sung version they used the same covers of original Italian-sung “Ti Amo”, they pasted the original tracklist in back cover with white papers with the new tracklist, with titles in Spanish, translated to Italian and with a “*” to identify the songs sung in Spanish. Yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND!!! This is a very rare transitional edition of this record released here in Chile, pasted back cover and both cover and record are in SUPERB CONDITION!!! For tracklist you can see the pictures.

The cover was already described and it’s in EX or EX+ condition for both sides, clean, complete, no marks or names written, no ring marks, only some minimal wear at the corners, some creases and a little mark of humidity at the mouth edge. The record is in strong NM- or NM condition, glossy and clean, with no scratches, no hairlines, only minimal scuffs hard to see at first sight. Labels are in great NM or NM+ condition, clean and clear, with no marks of wear. The sound is in absolute NM or NM+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise at all (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), maybe only some occasional barely audible crackles, no pops, no clicks. Overall, this record is in superb condition with a very nice cover in almost perfect condition and still amazing sound quality after about 43 years, with no distortions, no skips, no repetitions at all, a record to hear and enjoy from the beginning to the end!!! This record looks and sounds just like if it was bought yesterday!!! And keep in mind this is the rare transitional pasted back cover edition, almost impossible to find!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
