For sale - from my personal collection - the following LP:

ARTIST:   UMM KULTHUM (famous Egyptian female singer, 1898-1975)

TITLE:      LIGHT ON THE DESERT

LABEL:    Cairophon Records, catalog no. LPCX 502, MONO, made in ENGLAND. Plain paper inner sleeve. Clarifoil front cover, flipback style back cover.

Manufactured and distributed by E.M.I. Records Limited, UK.

YEAR:     1974. Original pressing.

CONDITION:

- front cover is between Exc. and NM (having both upper corners slightly bumped)

- back cover is between Exc. and NM

- vinyl is NM both sides (VISUAL GRADING)

COMMENTS:

2 tracks (studio recordings), as follows:

-  Wulida Al-Huda (A song on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet) - on side one

-  Nahj Al-Burda (A song of praise) - on side two

sung in Arab language by Umm Kulthum with musical accompaniment. Rare LP, the only copy I've ever seen. A collector's item. Superb recordings and sound in the old audiophile school style. Highly recommended!
