Description
UNIDA--"The Best Of Wayne-Gro"/DOZER--"Coming Down The Mountain": This is a split LP(or, as it's stated on the spine and inner sleeve, "double EP"), and it is the ORIGINAL 1999 U.S. limited-edition RED-vinyl pressing on heavyweight 220-gram wax that was released by the MeteorCity record label(MCY-003). This release consists of eight songs and includes the original thick, high-quality, full-color inner sleeve(which shows copyright dates of 1998...).
As a long-time record seller/dealer, I've sold many copies of this LP during the past 17 years since its original 1999 release date, and this record has been sitting here at Kick Out The Jams central in storage(along with a bunch of other 1990's stoner rock records that I want to sell--if you're interested, then ask me) virtually untouched on a shelf since I got it around 1999 directly from one of my wholesalers/vendors/suppliers. None of the many copies that I originally purchased directly from my various wholesalers/vendors/suppliers back in 1999 were ever shrink-wrapped/factory-sealed by the record label, so I assume that none of the original pressings were. The record is in AS NEW/UNPLAYED condition, and the LP cover has only EXTREMELY minor wear--due to typical handling, shipping, stocking, storage, etc.--as can be expected of covers that never had protective wrapping.
And as a BONUS, I'll also include a free AS NEW/UNUSED 11 inches-by-31 inches multi-colored official UNIDA/NEBULA tour poster from my secret stash.
UNIDA is a California-based stoner rock/desert rock band fronted by vocalist JOHN GARCIA, who had been the lead singer for KYUSS and SLO BURN. This split LP(or "double EP") includes four of the band's songs of heavydutyheavysludgegrungemetal riffage in the tradition of those 2 bands: "Flower Girl", "Red", "Delta Alba Plex", and "Wet Pussycat"(this song was remixed for this vinyl version). JOHN would later front HERMANO and VISTA CHINO.
DOZER is a Swedish band mining the same sonically-heavy, fuzz-smothered, desert rock vein, and its four contributions to this release were recorded in 1998 and include: "Overheated", "Twilight Sleep", "Calamari Sidetrip", and "From Mars".
