WOW WHAT A FIND !!! This is a RARE UNRELEASED ORIGINAL UK - PYE RECORDS DEMO ACETATE - PSYCH / POPSIKE - ACETATE by THE FRESHMEN from 1968 !!!
THIS IS A SINGLE SIDED UNRELEASED MUSIC PUBLISHING DEMO ACETATE SINGLE - PSYCH / POPSIKE- DEMO ACETATE , ORIGINAL UK DEMO ACETATE PRESSING IN AMAZING CONDITION !!!
This is a completely DIFFERENT DEMO VERSION to what would become THE FRESHMEN 1969 single on PYE RECORDS, OBVIOUSLY AN EARLY DEMO TAKE before the arragement and everything else was added and changed !!! THE FRESHMEN were an IRISH BAND who released singles in the UK between 1965-1972, this track is one of their best and was comped in it’s finished version on the PSYCH / POPSIKE compilation : RIPPLES 3: AUTUMN ALMANAC !!! The track was written by PETER LEE STIRLING and PHILIP PETERS who also wrote songs for THE WARD OF COURT, KATHY KIRBY, THE DAVE CLARK FIVE, JOHN STREET, TIERNEY’S FUGITIVES, CMJ TRIO and MANY MANY MORE in the 1960’s and PETER LEE STIRLING also had a solo career !!!

The condition of the ACETATE is in EX / EX+ condition (PROBABLY UNPLAYED UNTIL NOW !!! Better condition then most ACETATES of this age, light scuffs only, plays great with only mild crackle as ACETATES tend to have) !!!
