Thank you for viewing my listings. On this site, I have decided to list records that are at least excellent\excellent plus  condition only  All of the records will be play tested at loud volume prior to listing on a top system. I will describe the audio quality as honest as possible and as I hear it. I will be listing some of the albums I have decided to part with here on ebay as well as on my bluesvinyl4u website, while the majority of my albums are blues related from all eras. Please keep looking at my other rare original UK pressings that I have and will be listing soon!

This is albumfrom my personal collection! I have owned this album for at least 25 years! This is the very early and the rarest to find especially in this condition, with the track credits on the labels very few were pressed (normally seen without) There is general very light wear and tear. This, being one of the earliest presses is rare in any condition to find. The album is complete with the original swirl sleeve!!!

Very 'eavy... Very 'umble is the debut album of British hard rock band Uriah Heep. It was released in the United States as Uriah Heep with alternate sleeve artwork, and with "Bird of Prey" in place of "Lucy Blues."

The album was generally panned by the mainstream critical press upon its release, although it has since been acknowledged as an early classic of the heavy metal genre. The most famous criticism came from Rolling Stone magazine reviewer Melissa Mills, who began her review, "If this group makes it I'll have to commit suicide. From the first note you know you don't want to hear any more."

The original vinyl release was a gatefold-sleeve, featuring David Byron on the front sleeve, almost unrecognisable beneath the cobwebs - a poignant image since his death in 1985.

The album was first released on the Vertigo label in the UK, as was the follow-up Salisbury (album), but both were quickly reissued by Bronze when the band signed to that label!!!. Please note! These original 1st pressings are very sought after and extreemely scarce to find!!!!

  1. "Gypsy" (Box, Byron) – 6:37
  2. "Walking in Your Shadow" (Byron, Newton) – 4:31
  3. "Come Away Melinda" (Hellerman, Minkoff) – 3:46
  4. "Lucy Blues" (Box, Byron) – 5:08
  5. "Dreammare" (Newton) – 4:39
  6. "Real Turned On (Box, Byron, Newton) – 3:37
  7. "I'll Keep on Trying (Box, Byron) – 5:24
  8. "Wake Up (Set Your Sights) (Box, Byron) – 6:22

The vinyl

This is the original thicker and heavier type of vinyl only found on the earliest pressings! THIS LAYS PERFECTLY FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE!!!On initial Visual inspection it is hard to see a blemish!, only when scrutinised and angled to a strong light can very few surface marks\scuffs possibly be seen!! I can't see any deep needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud clicks or pops! This has obviously been played but very well looked after in my opinion and importantly not overplayed!

The Audio quality

I have played this vinyl through track for track three times prior to listing on a top system at very loud volume! The audio plays crystal clear and very very loud and vibrant with (no) signs of any groovewear or signs that this has been overplayed! (Quite unbelievable to find like this) Please note! At the 'intro' to the 1st track 'Gypsy' on side one could I hear very light static type ticks, there was a tick on the 3rd track side one and a one click between tracks 2 & 3 on side 2 apart from this vinyl plays almost as good as it gets all the way through and there was amazingly nothing in at all that in my opinion that spoiled the overall enjoyment of this awesome sounding album!!  AN AWESOME SOUNDING ALBUM ON ALL FREQUENCIES!! Even in between tracks is almost silent,, unbelievably rare like this!

EARLIEST 1ST UK PRESSES PRODUCE THE BEST AUDIO POSSIBLE!!!  Apart from the sections mentioned the audio plays at least excellent plus to near mint on my systems!

The Labels

These are the original vertigo swirl labels (only 1st uk press) in superb condition! Spidering can be seen angled to the light minimal spindlewear The hole is perfectly round!

The Record Sleeve

This is the original Vertigo Swirl Sleeve is generally in fine condition for it's age there is light general staining\fading with age, amazingly there are not splits or tears it is completely in tact! This is the original!!!

The cover!

This is the original TOP OPENING 1ST UK PRESS VERTIGO GATEFOLD COVER!! (CORRECT FOR THIS PRESS) This is strong and straight with (no) splits or tares !! There is general light creasing to the laminate both front and rear and light general storage wear to the corners! Fully laminated front still retains its gloss with light ringwear mainly on the rear can be seen angled to the light only! In general this is an excellent example of a rare 38 year old original!!!!! Square spine with light general storage wear\ rubbing  inside shows minor storage wear only! (no) nasty names written anywhere!! Rare to find example!!!
