Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   MINT-  SUPERB   'PLAYED ONCE'  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized 1st -1  UK pressing with the -1  matrix numbers on each side.

Yes, this first pressing is an IMMACULATE superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. We rarely see copies of this LP at all, let alone like this.

The centre hole shows NO spindle skate lines AT ALL, the holes remain tight with no wear.

THERE IS SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE

Under a very bright light you can see there are a couple of  light whisp lines , and one tiny luight hairline running with the grooves on the opening song..There is no damage or wear to either side or anything which spoils the play. The vinyl plays incredible

This LP was played once, then archived, and never saw the light of day til now!

THE LABELS   MINT    Both are superb condition, original matt labels with no damage or writing

THE SLEEVE     EX+

Correct LAMINATED  first issued 'Garrod & Lofthouse' earliest sleeve. Later presses were unlaminated -Yes, we have never seen a laminated sleeve ever before, rumour has it only  afew hundred were printed before switching to the standard Matt sleeve (in itself so hard to find a decent copy) THIS is one of the best Heep finds for a long time!

This whole sleeve is in SUPERB condition with no real signs of wear

The edges are all super clean with only the feintest traces of rub on the extreme tips of the open edge where the lamination stops short.

All colours and inks remain in outstanding condition like new!!!

The lamination is gleaming like a mirror and there is no 'lift' along the spine edge where the spine sits 'proud' forcing the laminate to raise from the cardboard normally- this sleeve has remained tight  -Just a couple of little spider lines over the edges. The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition with little hint of handling

The spine edge is totally unmarked and all legends are perfectly readable, just a couple of tiny spots of tip rub on the bottom open edge.

SOME VERY LIGHT RING PRESS.

WE CLARIFY BY SAYING, THIS SLEEVE IS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING QUALITY- AND WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST YOU COULD WISH TO SEE FOR THIS TRUE RARITY.

THE INNER SLEEVE   MINT-

ULTRA RARE original BRONZE inner sleeve- SUPERB, NO SCISSORING OR DAMAGE

LYRIC SHEET:   MINT   Rare to see this too, superb with no discolouration or damage
