USHA IYER Dizzy b/w The Trip (His Master`s Voice NE 1005) RARE India 1st Press EX+
RARE original Indian first pressing of Usha Iyer With The Flintstones doing "Dizzy" b/w "The Trip" on His Master`s Voice (1969). Distributed by EMI Records.
An excellent cover of the Tommy Roe classic by Hindi-soul-funk queen Usha Uthup, way back when she still went by her maiden name, Usha Iyer. Backed by the self-penned (mildly) psyched out "The Trip". A more than competent Bombay band, The Flintstones spread their musical net, allowing Miss Iyer to perform her very self-assured vocal acrobatics. Needless to say an extremely RARE and collectable find, especially in this condition.
GRADING:
EX SLEEVE in fine condition for its age. Please see photos for details.
- A few small tears/incisions to opening edge.
- Light corner crease at bottom right.
- Slight record imprint on sleeve, from long-time storage.
- Small ink stamp ("2590") and tiny word "Hip" written on back of sleeve. Hip, indeed!

EX+ RECORD in very fine all-round condition.
- Peerless audio reproduction throughout.
- Minor crackle in run-in, as well as in the run-off grooves.
- Visually EX+ with light overall hairlining and one or two lightest "pops" during play.
- No visible scuffs or scratches at all.
- Matt-black His Master`s Voice labels with a single spindle line on one side only.
