Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Preston Love And His Orchestra - Groove Juice / If You Ever Get Lonesome
Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1955
Notes: Yellow label first pressing. Earlier single by Love who had been a sideman in Count Basie's band. His second and last for Ultra. A-side is a great R& instrumental with a dash of blues. B-side adds vocals via Roy "Happy" Easter.
Record Condition: E+, The record itself is in really nice shape & plays very well. Nice shine, no crack or chips - both sides do have one or two light marks. Labels are very clean with no marks or scuffs, but it does have a Dr. Jive sticker on one side. Not sure what that sticker is for, but this is a really nice copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
