BEST OF THE HIDEOUTS - "various artists" LP, on the Hideout label, HLP 1002, from 1966. This is an original US pressing of a ultra rare Detroit garage punk album. Groups included on this album, are classic Detroit 60's garage bands, such as, the Underdogs, Pleasure Seekers, Yorkshires, Henchmen, 4 of Us, Doug Brown. Absolutely killer garage punk cuts!! Beware of a very nice reissue "bootleg" 1000 copies pressed back in the 1980's, right here in Detroit. This reissue was very well done and have fooled many people, and were sold as originals by some dealers. If you put an original next to the reissue, you can tell the difference. The main difference is the cover photos are slightly blurry on the reissues, and not clear, and you can see a  slight ring wear on back cover that was photo copied from a original. The labels are slightly different also, the original is a shade darker green in color. The photos on the original covers are clear. If you have a near mint cover and record, most likely you have a reissue, because most original copies I've seen are trashed. This original copy I have is the best copy I've seen!! The cover is in EX++ condition. The disc is in near mint condition, except for a couple very light hairline sleeve type marks. Plays fantastic!! GUARANTEE ORIGINAL!! A reasonable reserve.
