Description
Attention vintage vinyl hunters and 1960s garage rock aficionados! This is an exceptionally obscure original pressing of a Michigan garage rock single by The Wild, released on the tiny independent Royal Blue label (Catalog #4704). The A-side is the punchy “Monkies” (1:54), backed with the introspective “Sit Down And Cry” (2:09). Both songs penned by Perry Johnson and Paul Mysyk, with Perry Johnson handling production. Published by Winner & Much More Music BMI.
Bands like The Wild epitomize the raw, DIY spirit of the mid-1960s regional garage scene—fuzz guitars, youthful energy, and no-frills rock ‘n’ roll. With only a scant number of copies known to exist (far more collectors want it than own it), this is a genuine rarity for enthusiasts of 60s psych, garage punk, and forgotten local gems. Comparable scarce 1960s garage 45s have sold for $400+ in the past, highlighting its collectible appeal.
