Description
"Death of John Henry" b/w "On the Dixie Bee Line" by Uncle Dave Macon with Sam McGee. Recorded April 14, 1926 and issued on Brunswick 112. Original issue was on Vocalion; this was the only one for the session to make it to Brunswick about a year later. Condition is E-/E. Plays beautifully with only minor wear and light distortion on "A" side. Very light surface noise on "B" side. Quite unusual for a Macon record since they were universally played to death. There are tears in each label due to someone doing a bad job removing stickers. See scans for label condition. Due to the occasional mishandling of boxes by USPS, I require insurance and will add $2.00 for the first $50 in coverage upon sending the winning bidder an invoice.
