Description
10" acetate from Sam Phillips Recording - of Woodrow Adams, who released three singles between 1952-1961. There are two total songs, one on each side, both at 45 rpm. This single was never released. Guessing this is from 1960 or early 1961 based on non-logo label.
Tracks:
Don't You Know I Love You
I Love You So Oh Yes I Do

Condition:
Record: VG+, no cracks or scratches in acetate, some light smudges and scuffs but still in extremely good condition. Plays great.
Original Audiodiscs sleeve has some tears, so the record has been re-sleeved. But there are titles and the artist written on it so I've left it in the auction.
The offered acetate was acquired from the collection of Steve LaVere. LaVere was a somewhat controversial and legendary figure in the history of American blues music. He was involved in some of the early efforts in the 1960s by the Imperial label to gather historical blues compilations, and he was a key figure in helping the family of blues legend Robert Johnson establish claim to his publishing rights, a process steeped in public and professional contention, to say the least. Along the way, Steve also amassed a large collection of rare and obscure blues and rock and roll records. This Sam Phillips Recording acetate was one of several purchased from his collection.
LaVere purchased the "Home of the Blues" label at one point, which issued Adams' last 45. It's possible this was a planned single or considered for a single that never wound up being issued.
