Electrically recorded on April 5, 1927 after she had retired, famed

soprano Geraldine Farrar sings Mendelssohn's "Auf Flugeln Des

Gesanges (On Wings Of Song)" on this 10" vinyl IRCC 41-A.


She is accompanied on piano by Claude Gonvierre.


This was done for Victor Talking Machine in a church building in

Camden New Jersey, but never issued.


The recording date on the label states 4/5/27, but another reliable

source dates it 1/11/27.


The record is in lovely excellent-plus (E+) condition, just like new.
