United Pentecostal Church- Davis Pedigo, 1980’s LP, In Concert **Excellent+. Very rare album.
Geron and Becky Davis were raised in pastors' homes. During Geron’s teenage years he lived and went to school in the Savannah, TN area where his dad pastored. He met Becky in 1981 while attending college in Jackson, Miss. The Davises are songwriters. Geron’s song Holy Ground, written when he was 19, was the group WORD's best-selling anthem for 1986 and was nominated for the Gospel Music Association's Song of the Year in 1988. His second song to be recorded by a major artist, Gentle Hands performed by Truth, was his first song to reach the charts
In 1980 Tim Pedigo was also attended Jackson College of Ministries where he was the Vice President of the Music club and made his first recording project, “Rain Your Love.” During this year he met and sang for the first time with Geron and Becky Davis. Within a couple of years, they were all living in Irving, TX and working in the same church. This was the beginning of the group, “Davis/Pedigo.”
The next dozen years were a mix of songwriting, recording, and traveling while doing concerts, as well as choir and vocal clinics. During this time Tim moved to Louisiana and became the minister of music and helped lead the Music and Creative Arts teams at the Pentecostals of Alexandria. While there, he was crucial in formimg the Louisiana All-State Youth Choir.
Tim is the son-in-law of Bishop Paul Mooney, pastor emeritus of Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis Indiana.
Tim served first as Administrative Assistant to Rev. Paul D. Mooney while his wife Adena continued to serve at Indiana Bible College. Later on, she would take on the Ladies Department and Children’s Ministry. During their twenty-nine years of service at Calvary Tabernacle, Tim was also an Instructor at both Indiana Bible College and Calvary Christian High School. In 1995, he accepted his call to preach and later served Calvary Tabernacle as Assistant Pastor for 20 years. During this time Tim was the lead Pastor for the design and construction of Calvary Christian School and Family Life Center.
Tim has also served as Indiana District Global Missions Director, the Music Coordinator for the North American Youth Congress, and the Pentecostal Music Association where he was in charge of creating the North American Talent Search, and has written articles for the Pentecostal Life Magazine. He now serves on the UPCI Music Ministry Advisory Board. Tim is presently on the Indiana District Board as the Section 5 Presbyter.
