Description

UNKNOWN METAL ACETATE  soul / R&B style one-side ten inch 45 rpm demo single.   Track is: STEPPING STONE.  The demo label indicates it was recorded at the famed SUNSET SOUND RECORDERS in Hollywood and published by Alamo Music.  It includes a fragile two-page music sheet which was used to establish the composers copyright.

The sheet music indicates it is from 1963 and written by three noted songwriters: DOLORES FULLER - FRED WISE - DICK MANNING.  At this time all were placing a large number of songs in ELVIS PRESLEY movies.  There is probably now no way of ever knowing but it is quite possible this song was intended for ELVIS as the combination of writers and the Sunset Sound studio use would give a strong indication that was the purpose.

VG condition - Pretty good shape for an acetate.  It looks rarely played with a ton of luster and just some light sleeve marks and a few micro-scratches.  The music sheets have tones and deteriorated some so are in fragile condition. Sound clip video is taken unaltered from the offered 45.
