Description
The Passionettes - She Will Leave You / Technique (Master 1010)
Totally unknown Detroit / Northern Soul / Primitive Girl Group! To my knowledge this is the only copy of this 45 ever to surface. There are no listings of it in discographies and the serious collectors I have spoken with have never seen a copy. I purchased this and the Combinations "About You" / "Pretty Boy" single (Master 1020) at the same time at a tag sale in Michigan in the 1970s. The Combinations is also currently on offer, along with some other top Detroit soul / funk, please check my other auctions!
Condition: Visually VG++, audibly a weak VG+ (Vinyl is shiny and looks almost brand new, labels are shiny but have minor WOL. The record plays with distortion at peak levels, which seems to be the pressing (and perhaps explains its rarity - was rest of run scrapped?) I have played it on several high-end cartridges, but sound is the same. Please hear full, high-quality clips)

Welcome to the 45 Vault! I am a longtime Detroit-area record collector and radio DJ, and will be offering prime items from my personal collection each week, mainly in the Soul and Funk categories, so please add me to your favorite seller list; the best is yet to come! I never sell reissues or bootlegs, and all discs are 100% guaranteed to be original pressings.
Please read my feedback from soul lovers around the world - I grade accurately, ship securely, and strive to give you the best service possible.
GRADING:
I grade each disc visually as well as audibly, and provide unaltered audio clips for your convenience.I use the Goldmine grading system:
M (flawless, like new - very few discs merit this high grade) M- (close to perfect, with only the most insignificant visible flaws and no audible degradation) VG+ (a well cared-for disc that shows very minor wear and tear, a 'keeper' copy for most collectors) VG (an average 'as-found' copy; some background noise that does not overwhelm the music) VG- (a sizable amount of scuffs and scratches, noise level higher but music still dominates) G+ (disc is very worn but plays without skips; a low-end filler copy G (very poor shape - G records will never be offered)
Clips from the actual disc on offer are recorded on a Technics direct-drive turntable with a Shure M-95ED cartridge, with no filtering or enhancement whatsoever, into a TEAC standalone CD burner. The discs have been recorded in stereo, and will sound even better on a mono system.

I accept Paypal only, with payment due within seven days of the close of the auction.
