Description
Unknown EMI Vinyl Acetate Antique Possibly Rare Record Demo Sample Blank Label. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class. Here is a bit of an oddity, somewhat unusual from what I normally list and sell. I’m selling a few bits from my collection and this is one of them. I only kept it because it was an acetate and seemed to be quite old. The EMI acetate label is blank with no writing and there’s no numbers/matrixes/codes in the runout grooves therefore putting the name to this acetate is nearly impossible. I have played it and the music is very, very, very old vocal music like it’s from 1100 or something. The acetate is obviously younger (could be 1950s or 60s) but definitely not 70s or later. It could be older than 1950s aswell because the material the vinyl is made from seems to be more that of a 78rpm gramophone record. I’m selling this on the basis that someone might want it as a bit of a novelty or something to treasure maybe. Please note this isn’t a extreme rare Beatles or Rolling Stones acetate, the music isn’t anything like that whatsoever. It isn’t desirable music but it’s a fairly good collectors piece to the right person. The vinyl is in good condition, has some surface dust and some finger marks on it which could be cleaned off but I won’t attempt to clean it before dispatching incase I damage it. The vinyl has quite a few light marks, some scuffs and scratches but none are feel able or look bad. The vinyl plays fine but with a constant background noise with some crackles and pops here and there that can be heard due to the quietness of the music most of the time but still the music is quite audible and the unwanted noise isn’t massively distracting. This is not a perfect press of this unknown vinyl, but it is very unique indeed. Vinyl also has an very old smell to it not sure why. This will be sent in a used but still good Music Max mailer with stiffeners either side for protection. Vinyl will be stored in a paper sleeve of which will be inside the black cover sleeve you can see on the photo (It is quite bent towards the top but it’s still okay for protection) Please check out my other vinyl listings. Thanks!
