THE VIBRATIONS

“Can’t You BE”

b/w

“Poetique De Joy”

USA - Year Unknown (late 60s or early 70s?) - St. George International - 7-202-873

Media: VG

I’m unable to locate anything on the band.  Both sides are original compositions it appears and I’ve been unable to locate any band named The Vibrations that have the same credited songwriters as this release.  I’ve had a little bit better luck researching the label but still the info is little.  The label released at least 20 singles and LPs with the dates unknown for most of them.  Only a handful of 45s are known to have a 1972 release but it’s unclear the years this label ran.  The genres range from garage, psych, funk, country, gospel and pop, and the artwork for their released LPs have a decidedly private press or outsider feel.  From my research and understanding, all their releases were custom pressings from Decca’s Gloversville, NY plant but I don’t believe Decca had any association with them and I’m led to believe the label was possibly a vanity pressing.

About Me

I might be a new seller on ebay but I'm not new to record selling and collecting.  I have worked at record stores, have sold at record shows and I have sold on and off on Discogs since it's beginning.  I've always wanted to join the ebay marketplace but was afraid of starting out as a new seller.  I finally decided to stop worrying and start listing.

Grading, Shipping and Returns

I try to grade conservatively and I adapt this conservative approach to Goldmine Standards but I do use EX and VG- when needed because I feel Goldmine grading is not descriptive enough compared to any other grading system and not always descriptive enough.  NM looks an sounds like a mint album while EX would look like a mint or near mint album with maybe one superficial mark or light scuff/hairline that does not affect play.  I also try to provide well-recorded audio samples of the exact item for sale.  You can hear the grade before buying but I promise you won't be disappointed.

When shipping, I use new professional LP or 45 mailers along with sturdy inserts.  Every item will come in a clear plastic outer sleeve, the media will be removed from the sleeve and any included inner sleeve and placed into a new white inner sleeve to prevent seam splits.

I accept returns up to 30  days and to put any fears of a new seller to bed, I will pay for return shipping. If you have any questions or concerns, message me and I will respond promptly.
