JOY DIVISION Unknown Pleasures. Red Tranco. First Pressing.

- Matrix / Runout (Sides A & B, both stamped): 1 (sideways)
- Black vinyl flames red when held in front of bright light.
- Matrix / Runout of Side A has a lightly etched sideways "H" between "THIS IS THE WAY" and " A PORKY PRIME CUT"
- Matrix / Runout of Side B has a lightly etched sideways "R" before "STEP"
First off, I am NOT a record dealer. The vinyl looks good with no obvious scratches but I have no turntable on which to judge how it actually plays.
I have been as honest as I can be in describing the condition of this LP but the description is my own personal opinion.
I am offering this for sale and not appraisal. So please bid accordingly.
I purchased this album on its release in 1979 and I know for a fact that it has been played exactly 4 times (Twice when I first got it home, once when I recorded it onto a cassette tape for my car, and once in a (failed) attempt to impress a girlfriend.
All that said, it has been removed from and returned to its sleeve on numerous occasions with the inevitable superficial marks which that kind of short-sighted behaviour leaves. So, again, please bid accordingly.
The black (side A 'Outside') label shows some scuffing. The white (side B 'Inside') label is good.
The Inner (rounded corners) sleeve is in 'fair' condition. Slightly wrinkled with light creasing. Some mild discoloration but no foxing. As a side note, I see that there are no track numbers against the printed 'Outside/Inside' track listing.
The outer (Garrod & Lofthouse) textured sleeve is in poor condition with lots or wear, and a smudge of what looks to be white paint, and noticeable creasing to the lower right hand corner.
In my photographs I have attempted to show the actual physical condition of the vinyl, labels, and sleeves. If you require more photographs of any particular aspect of the vinyl or sleeves then please message me.
If you are serious about purchasing this and are close (or willing to travel) to BEDFORD then I would welcome you to come and inspect it for yourself.
So this (according to the information I have managed to find on the internets) is what it is:
- Textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' outer sleeve.
- Printed inner sleeve with rounded corners.
- Vinyl is translucent red when held against a strong light. (Tranco)
- This version has runouts according to the printed labels and the running order on the sleeve.
- Side A is OUTSIDE (black label). Side B is INSIDE (white label).
- But, confusingly it's been assigned with "Outside" to B and "Inside" to A in the runouts. Nevertheless the runouts reflect the actual track order.
- Labels have an elevated ring close to the runouts (Tranco)

I have no idea how much this is actually worth so will start the bidding at £1 with no reserve...I do however have a price in mind that I am willing to let it go for, so if you have a similar price in mind then please feel free to make me a serious offer for a quick sale.

Post & Packaging: Why is it £9.50?!
It will be incredibly well packaged with sleeves and vinyl separately protected and sent within waterproofed hardboard outer covers. Posted within one working day of receipt of payment.
However, I should much prefer that it be collected in person if that is at all possible.
