Description

Please refer to the auction title and picture(s) for details about this record.

Click on the audio player below to hear a brief mp3 excerpt from this record. This is a straight transfer from the actual record in this auction, with NO noise reduction or click removal processes applied. This will give you a basic idea of the playing condition of this record. Please be aware that mono records are properly transferred summed to mono, which generally cancels out some of the surface noise. Mono records played in stereo will sound more noisy. I can't accept returns for mono records that don't sound as good played in stereo.

Notes: This is a one-sided 10" 45rpm acetate from 1965. The artist is listed as Barbara Wilson, the song is "I Have Something New." I'm not 100% sure, but I'm assuming this is the Barbara Wilson who was the wife of Frank Wilson, who passed away at age 23 in 1966. Presumably that makes this one of her last recordings. I've learned that this song exists in the Colpix master tape library, and is slated for an official release of some sort in 2014, but up until now it has never been released, and this acetate is one of only two known copies. I sold the other copy (which, unlike this copy, also had a B-side) a few months back. At that time the copy being offered here also closed at auction, but the original high bidder on this copy never contacted me, so I'm listing it again now.
Visual grade: VG++ (listen to mp3 for audio grade, which is often better than the visual grade for 45s)

Unless otherwise noted, records are graded visually using the Goldmine system.
