Description

An original 1st press of Demons on the UK Bronze label distributed by Island. Matrix A1U/B1U - very 1st cut. Label design is consistent with very 1st press and the distribution statement mentioned at the foot. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'Tinsley Robor' gatefold cover. Please note that 'Tinsley Robor' - are 1st issue. If a copy mentions just 'Robor' - then it's technically 2nd issue. Please note that with this example the lyric inner is absent. To partially remedy this we have a very nice crisp original to '72 blue Island inner sleeve with 'Basing St' address.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. You need a low-mileage carefully looked after copy for this title. Whilst Uriah were know for their full-tilt rockers, they were also a dab hand at the acoustic low-key number. This copy does an excellent job on the rockers, but will delivery a clean smooth output on the low-key numbers. Interference is very limited in deed and infrequent. I don't recall much more than a couple of crackles in the first intro and, to be honest, not a lot else. Most definitely a keeper as it is a true 1st press with excellent delivery.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. Very nice clean front and back with only light handling in a couple of spots. the interior looks excellent with no issues at all. There's a touch of edge wear in places, but nothing substantial. The text on the spine is more or less legible with just some slight wear partially obscuring. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Lovely clean looking example. No splits. Not the original - but a decent alternative.
