This unsealed LP was most likely never put on a turntable, as can be seen by no spindle marks on the center hole. This album was originally used as a display copy at Phantasmagoria which was a head shop that sold new LPs. They would take an LP out of the original sleeve and keep the vinyl behind the counter in a heavy green sleeve while displaying the empty outer sleeve on the shelf. They usually kept several sealed copies behind the counter and when you bought an LP, you would get one of the sealed copies.

I still have one last sealed copy of this album which I will be auctioning in a week or two. I expect it will sell for 2-3 times what this one will sell for. This auction is only for the unsealed copy.

Phantasmagoria was located in Allentown, PA and closed their doors back in 1978. Several years later I bought their entire left-over record inventory.

• This record came from a record store called "Phantasmagoria" which was located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Phantasmagoria went out of business in 1978. I purchased most of their unsold inventory some years later when I owned "Music Madness" - a new & used record store in Catasauqua.
• Phantasmagoria kept all their sealed albums behind the counter and in a back room. They displayed an empty cover on the shelves for the customers to look through. The record taken out of the cover was also kept in the back room. When the customer took the empty cover to the counter, they would get one of the sealed copies. Most of the albums taken out of the sleeves were never played because they were stored on shelves in the back room.
• The vinyl was visually graded using a very bright light to inspect for defects in the vinyl. I try to adhere to Goldmine Magazine's standards, but unfortunately, no matter who grades albums, it will always be subjective. To err on the side of safety, I try to grade my vinyl a little lower than what I think it really should be.
