GENESIS: A Trick of the Tail. Used Mobile Fidelity Half-Speed Remastered LP in Mint/Mint condition; Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Catalog # MFSL 1-062; original ATCO LP from 1976

Condition: Vinyl essentially Mint—bought new by me and played all of twice, not a scratch to be seen; Packaging pristine, including inside of gatefold jacket. Includes original cardboard insert promoting Mobile Fidelity and soft poly sleeve for the LP. Lyrics are printed on inside of gatefold jacket.

Behind the Music: Genesis first burst upon my consciousness when I heard the live “Watcher of the Skies” on progressive FM radio in New York City. Peter Gabriel’s haunting voice in the lead. Before long, Peter went solo on a remarkable career. Drummer Phil Collins came to be the dominant force in the band. And I’m OK with that, having seen a video of what was billed as a Genesis reunion that was held in Rome around 2007. Phil worked his butt off that night! Personnel: Mike Rutherford—12 string guitar, basses, bass pedals; Tony Banks—12 string guitar, keyboards, vocals; Steve Hackett—12 string guitar, electric guitar; Phil Collins—drums, percussion, lead vocals.
