CONDITION: These records appear to be excellent condition!! The album, green, also appears to be in near perfect condition! The corners show a very little wear. All sleeves are in perfect condition, also. There are no tears or slits in them.
Victory Records (V-Discs) was government-created music company for the War Department to ship 78's overseas to GIs for FREE -- recordings that were not sold in Stateside record stores. Musicians and singers volunteered their services for the making of V-Discs and never received payment or royalties for them. Actually some of these performances were never duplicated which is why they are sought after by collectors . The project began in 1941 and the first shipments were in 1943 with the final shipments in May 1947
