Hello & Welcome to my 5 day only auction
You'll see from my huge 5825+ positive feedback that more than speaks of my trust that you can deal here very safely & in complete confidence with me for this
EXTREMELY RARE original vintage 1980 1st press 'Christmas in the Stars' 12" Vinyl Record Lp album in nice condition. For over 40 years old it's in remarkable condition really. * This vinyl was never released for sale in the Uk.
As I'm sure most of looking will know - it is very very seldom these ever come up for sale here - You'd really struggle to find a better example of this - That's If you could find another copy of this on these shores at all that is?! Which is unlikely.
I've had this around 25 years, in that time it has been safely stored away from any type of direct heat or sunlight completely untouched in a locked glass display case with my old Kenner figures. Useless info : I purchased this from midtown comics in New York City during Summer 1997. NYC is where it spent it's previous days with one owner from new in 1980
I Gave it one last full play last night on both sides for all times sake - The vinyl Sounds nice and warm, punchy, loud, clear, has the few lovely little crackles & scratches here and there that you'd expect, mostly at the starts and ends of tunes. But there was no skips or jumps, play continued!
As you'd imagine at over 40 years old there is some light surface marks & scuffs, grime to the vinyl. Centre matrix stickers look excellent - not far from new looking actually - Clean & bright with minimal wear!
As you can see the cardboard artwork cover is nice, it's robust and stable..It's nice & clean, it's bright & colourful, usual light wear to edges & spine, some creasing etc etc, but overall a very nice display example. Text on spine is mostly there....Comes with it's original off-white paper dust cover.
