Neil Sturgeon is a singer / songwriter from Rutherglen Scotland.
Perhaps best known as the frontman of the acclaimed melodic Mod band 'The Goldenhour', who have released 2 acclaimed albums 'Beyond The Beyond' (contact high records – 2003) and 'Always In The Now' (Neon Tetra Records – 2005), playing over 250 live dates including 3 headline shows at Glasgows renowned venue King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and support slots with Deep Purple & Lynyrd Skynyrd (SECC) and Dave Davies of the Kinks amongst others. The band also performed at glasgow music festival Gig On The Green (2002) in company with travis, iggy pop and the strokes and have featured on several radio / tv shows including live sessions for billy sloan (clyde 1), jim gellatly (beat 106 / XFM) and 2 appearances on STV music show 'neuchd gun chadal'. Sky sports have also used the bands music on various occasions to complement their football coverage. The Goldenhours' popular live favourite 'Julies In Control' (showcasing Neils' songwriting talents) was featured in a free sampler cd of Neon Tetra acts which was issued by The Daily Record in mid November 2007 . A 15 song album of the bands early recordings is being released by New York label Kool Kat Recordings in Autumn 2010.
Once upon a long time ago, prior to his time in The Goldenhour Neil was the frontman in Glasgow combo A Chocolate Morning who released a couple of pieces of vinyl in the early 1990's and played some high profile gigs (In The City, Radio Clydes Kelvingrove Park Festival, supports to Teenage Fanclub, Ian McNabb, numerous headlining dates at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow).
This is a slice of melodic pop and harmony - a must for any mod collector and it is autographed. This is a genuine rarity and you will be hard pressed to find other copies.

I have owned this record since 1992 and therefore it has been played and enjoyed many times. However, as with all my cherished collection I have done all I can to keep both the record and sleeve in decent condition.
