Description

VVAA "3ViTrePAIR n.2: Spain-Mexico-Italia" LP issued by 3ViTre (0188) and included in the 3ViTrePair series (No.2) in Italy, 1988. ****** Rec:vg+ Cov:ex ****** According to Enzo Minarelli, the voice and oral word are the true protagonists in the poetical progress at the end of this century. This tridental anthology (Spain-Mexico-Italy) is titled "Neo-Latin Roots in Modern Sounds". The geographic distances are put at the zero degree and the common element lies on the trend to revitalizing the linguistic instruments. A work such as "Valencia" by Flatus Voci Trio can be explained with the breath playing the leading roles of a poem made upon an extreme exactness, able to exploit all the possible permutations, associations, variations, repetitions starting from a simple word, a perfect example of intraverbalism. The same oral tension and approach can be found in Giullermo Villegas Andante, a milestone in Mexican sound poetry from 1974. Giacomo Bergamini ends the first side with a strong acoustic impact created through short linguistic repeatitions. The second side of this LP assembles those poets who try to develop the manifold links with the typical language of music, even if they keep firm orality as primacy of their research. Daniel Rios Aranda applies the electronic media to sound poetry in a plastic attitude. Giovanni Fontana with "Canzoni per spasmi gutturali e pianoforte" gives the umpteenth essay of sound and pregnant atmosphere, while Luca Miti works with a loop at low frequencies wrapping up and unrolling slowly his own poetical environment. Laura Elenes finds out a computer program, relating the vowels and five notes to be applied to a synthesizer. Enzo Minarelli "Alison, il poema delle quattro stagioni" dedicated to fluxus artist Alison Knowles is also included. 3ViTre Archive of Polypoetry has been founded by Enzo Minarelli in 1983. Its main role consists in gathering up systematically all that has been produced by poetical experimentation both at the visual and oral area (sound poetry, visual poetry) poetry performance and videopoetry. In the field of video-production, the Archive collection includes under the target ‘Videopoetry’ about two hundred hours of programs belonging to italian and foreign poets. Next to this cataloguing, 3Vitre Archive is involved in issuing or editing records, audiocassettes and CDs. With the aim of promoting even spreading the collected material, the Archive has been organizing since the first 1980s several events related to the field of poetical experimentation. ****** Record would be graded ex if it was not for some minimal surface noise on Side B. Maybe possible to remove it by cleaning the record. ****** (references: avant, sound poetry, text-sound composition, fluxus, Enzo Minarelli, Giovanni Fontana, Luca Miti, Alison Knowles, 3ViTre, Henri Chopin) ****** unregistered priority mail is about 9 US dollars to europe and 13 US dollars to the rest of the world (except for oceania to which it is 17 US dollars), registered airmail is about 13 US dollars to europe and 17 US dollars to the rest of the world (except for oceania to which it is 20 US dollars). please note that winning multiple items can make you save on postage. preferred payment is paypal, although other options may be available. please wait for my invoice before sending any payment. thank you.
