Various Artists - NEW YORK ROCKS 1983

Original pressing vinyl LP

This rare album was the result of a promotion from a New York radio station, and featured 10 new, still unsigned artists, mostly in the hard rock vein.

Most notably, it includes a unique, early version of a future track by Bon Jovi, credited here to "John Bongiovi."

There are also early recordings by Twisted Sister and cult band D.C. Star.
Disc plays Near Mint

Cover is VG+, with some light edge wear and a very slight, small bend on one corner.

All in all, a very nice copy of this rare record!    

Included is the original ballot for a contest, the "1982 Miller High Life Rock to Riches Talent Search." The card suggests that similar albums were to be released in several other American cities -- but I'm not sure this came to pass! (see photo)
