THE NOVA CONVENTION (1979) - poetry/spoken word 2-LP set (Giorno Poetry Systems, GPS - 014/015)
Description/Condition:
VERY RARE, private pressing poetry/spoken word double LP recorded at the 1979 "Nova Convention", hosted by John Giorno in New York City. Participants included Laurie Anderson, William S. Burroughs, John Cage, Allen Ginsberg, John Giorno, Philip Glass, Brion Gysin, Julia Heyward, Timothy Leary, Les Levine, Peter Orlovsky, Ed Sanders, Patti Smith, Terry Southern, Anne Waldman, Robert Anton Wilson and Frank Zappa. The NM records appear to have been played once at most - near perfect. The gatefold cover is just a shade off of near mint with light rub/ring wear, but no writing, seam splits or other problems - a fabulous jacket. Be sure to SEE ALL (3) PHOTOS BELOW.
