V/A - THE LESSONS: NY CUT & PASTE (New 7x7") Box Set!!!

Title: The Lessons - NY Cut and Paste
Artist: Various
Label: Madison Square Garage Recordings

In 1983 a remix contest was held to promote G.L.O.B.E. & Whiz Kid's "Play That Beat (Mr. DJ)." The unanimous winner was Steve "Steinski" Stein & Douglas "Double Dee" DiFranco's "Lesson One: The Payoff Mix." The song, a diverse collection ranging from Mae West and Humphrey Bogart to Ed McMahon and Herbie Hancock, became an urban radio hit within days, but was never commercially released. Two more Lessons soon followed: "Lesson Two" and "Lesson Three: The History of Hip-Hop." For the first time ever, the three original Lessons mixes, along with other four other early 80s cut and paste classics are available as 7" records, packaged together in a box set called "The Lessons: NY Cut & Paste". An amazing package, new & sealed!!!
