V/A "THIS IS SAIGON VIETNAM" LP (49th State Record Co., Hawaii, 1960s)
Up for sale is an ultra-rare and loooong gone comp LP of modern 1960s Vietnamese female singers MISS NGOC MY, MISS TRAN KIM ANH (aka Patty Pink), MISS THUY NHIEN, MISS PHUONG DUNG, and MISS PHUOC VAN. It was recorded in various Vietnamese night spots and features Vietnamese originals as well as versions of Western songs like "Hello Heartache, Goodbye Love" and "I left my heart in San Francisco". All of the performers do two songs a piece, except for PHUONG DUNG, who does four (12 songs total).
I have seen this record sell on E-bay twice for more money than the starting bid, and neither of those copies were SEALED as this one is. I probably don't need to say it, but this is probably the only chance to get a sealed copy of this incredibly rare record.
Condition: Record is STILL SEALED after all these years, though there is a bit of wear along the top of the spine from 40+ years of storage. Please zoom in on the photos to see it (it's most noticeable in the center on the top of the jacket, and a little bit on the corners. The shrink wrap is otherwise intact, so I'd grade the whole package as MINT for the vinyl, NM- for the sleeve.
