The Aerosol Grey Machine 
Hard-to-find original US pressing Mercury SR 61238, 1969
The first VDGG LP was originally intended as a Peter Hammill solo vehicle, but was released under the band's name to satisfy contractual conflicts. It originally was released only in the US, where it was difficult to find within a short time. Band personnel were Peter Hammill, Hugh Banton, Keith Ellis and Guy Evans. Produced by John Anthony, who worked on all their recordings through Pawn Hearts (1971). Early copies are said to include the track "Giant Squid" in place of "Necromancer." This is the more common, though still rare, later pressing.
Sleeve and record in very good condition (visual evaluation only); drill hole in lower right corner of sleeve, some creasing to upper left corner. Label shows little spindle wear.
