record Excellent

 

The vinyl is in Excellent condition showing a high gloss surface with slight surface marks and surface scratches, which do not affect play. The audio is magnificant throughout; clear and dynamic with just a little surface noise in places and a few static "pops & crackles" which do not spoil the overall enjoyment of this record. Despite being produced in 1971 this record with it's mixture of theatrical rock and avant garde jazz still sounds fresh and not dated. The record is perfectly flat with clean un-marked pink Charisma labels, there is no spindle wear and a few slight spider marks indicating light play

I have owned this record from new and it has been stored for the last 30+ years in the dark.

 

 

Cover Excellent+

The un-laminated gatefold record sleeve, is in great unmarked condition showing no creasing. There are is a little shelf wear on the black part of the front sleeve but this is very slight. The spine is intact with the lettering clear. The inside of the gatefold is close to mint! The white paper inner sleeve is clean and un-marked with just a very slight yellowing to indicate age.

This copy never had a lyric sheet from new - "...I'm getting Charisma to send you a copy of the Pawn Hearts lyric sheet, there was meant to be one with each album, but I only remembered to check that they were getting it all together at the last minute, and they weren't, so some went out without..."

Pawn Hearts was released in 1971. It is hailed as one of the masterpieces of progressive rock by many fans of the genre. The album held number 1 in Italy for 12 weeks in 1972.
