VAN HALEN 3 ALBUM BUNDLE FOR PAUL GASTON. I use the Goldmine grading system. Grading is Sleeve / vinyl. EX/NM Cover is gorgeous, vinyl is super clean and glossy. As close to new vinyl media as you are likely to find.

Terms I use and what they mean:

SLEEVE HAZE:

Cloudy patters in the vinyl caused by being stored on the sleeve for long periods of time. They do not downgrade condition as they do not affect playback in any way. Just a visual imperfection.

SLEEVE IMPRESSIONS:

Visible ghost lines on the vinyl caused by wrinkled sleeves or debris in the sleeve that have rubbed impressions into the surface of the vinyl. They do not downgrade condition as they do not affect playback in any way. Just a visual imperfection.

SMUDGES:

Visible old fingerprints or other types of remnants that are on the vinyl’s surface. They do not downgrade condition as they do not affect playback in any way. Just a visual imperfection.

SLEEVE LINES:

Visible, very light, very faint, very superficial lines caused by the vinyl being taken out and put into the sleeve over time. These do not affect play.

GROOVE LINES:

Visible lines in the play grooves that do not affect playback.

HAIR LINES:

Visible superficial surface lines that are not deep enough to feel or affect playback in any way.

SCUFF LINES:

Visible surface scuffs lines that do not affect playback unless otherwise noted in the description.

FEELER LINES:

Visible lines that are deep enough to feel and will usually cause clicks and or pops during playback.

GOLDMINE GRADING SCALE VINYL

Mint (M)

The record is in perfect condition, as new, and may still be sealed. 

Near Mint (NM or M-)

The record has no obvious signs of wear. It looks nearly perfect, but the sleeve may show slight signs of shelf wear. 

Excellent

A step below Near Mint, this grade indicates minor signs of wear but the record still plays perfectly without significant noise. 

Very Good Plus (VG+)

The record has been played a few times but has only minor signs of wear, such as light scuffs or minor ring wear. It should still sound very good with minimal surface noise. 

Very Good (VG)

The record has noticeable signs of wear, including light scratches that may cause some audible pops or crackles. It still plays through without skipping. 

Good Plus (G+)

Better than a Good record, but not quite a Very Good. It may have more visible scuffs and a greater degree of surface noise, but is still playable. 

Good (G)

The record has significant wear and is likely to have surface noise or light scratches that are audible. 

Fair (F)

The record has heavy wear and significant surface noise. It may have scratches but is not necessarily unplayable. 

GOLDMINE GRADING SCALE ALBUM COVERS

Mint (M)

The cover is absolutely perfect in every way, with no flaws whatsoever.

There are no seam splits, ring wear, creases, or marks.

This grade is extremely rare, as even minimal handling can cause minor wear. 

Near Mint (NM or M-)

The cover is nearly perfect, with only minimal signs of handling.

The artwork is as close to new as possible, with no creases, folds, or seam splits.

May show very minor signs of wear, such as a faint impression of the record (light "ring wear") or slightly turned-up corners. 

Very Good Plus (VG+)

The cover shows some signs of wear, but remains structurally intact and visually appealing.

Potential issues include slight ring wear, minor corner creasing or fraying, and minor seam wear.

A cut-out mark, indentation, or hole indicating it was sold at a discount may be present.

Any seam split must be under one inch and typically at the most vulnerable location, the bottom. 

Very Good (VG)

A used cover with obvious signs of wear.

More pronounced flaws than a VG+ cover, including moderate ring wear, edge wear, or more visible seam splits.

Writing, tape, or stickers may be present, but the artwork is still reasonably attractive.

Seam splits may be repaired with clear tape, and there could be yellowing or discoloration. 

Good (G) or Good Plus (G+)

Significant wear and tear, including heavy ring wear, writing, or damage from removing stickers.

Seam splits are obvious and could be large.

While the cover is damaged, it is still functional and holds the record.

A "good" record cover is not actually in good condition, and if the record is not rare, you may want to pass on it. 

Poor (P) or Fair (F)

Extensive damage that makes the cover unappealing and barely functional.

Severe wear includes heavy damage, tears, stains, water damage, or missing sections.

Unless the record is exceptionally rare, it's generally not a collectible cover.
