Description
VERY RARE VAN MORRISON COLLECTIBLE FROM 1972! A 10-INCH VAN MORRISON ACETATE featuring TWO (2) DIFFERENT MIXES of his tune, "Jackie Wilson Said." Plays at 33 1/3 rpm. Warner Bros. labels, with date 6/8/72 typed on both sides, along with Morrison's name, song title, and "Heider Mix" on one side and "Amigo Mix" on the other. The HEIDER MIX is very close to the officially released version and may very well be the same, although the Heider mix is lower in volume and not as "bright" in sound. Although true Stereo, both mixes border on being Mono. Most of the instrumentation and vocals are very centered in the mix, while it seems that some of the various sax parts were alternately used in the left and right channels to "color" the Stereo mix. The AMIGO MIX is NOT the released version and differs from that and the Heider mix as follows: 1) The drums are considerably more to the left channel, especially the snare. 2) The electric guitar is in the right channel. 3) The acoustic guitar seems to be more pronounced in the left channel. 4) Most of the various sax parts are more pronounced in the right channel, although the left channel is where mose of the sax solos were placed. Heider Mix label has an arrow drawn in blue ballpoint pen. Acetate in nice VG+ condition! Sounds excellent! Low starting bid! Good luck! (SS) STILL SEALED. Original factory seal.
(M) MINT: Perfect, flawless, new
(NM) NEAR MINT: Almost perfect, possibly no more than a few MINOR scuffs, wrinkles or wear.
(VG++) Very Good++. Less quality than Near Mint, but still in beautiful condition.
(VG+) Very Good+. Some scratches or scuffs, some surface markings, some wear, etc. Nice overall.
(VG) Very Good. Too many scratches, scuffs, or wear for VG+, but still in okay condition.
(VG-) Very Good-. Lots of wear (scratches, etc.). Starter copy.
(G) Good. Wrecked. Excessive wear.
(P) Poor. Just what it says.
