Description
Up for auction is a nice original promo pressing of the Van Morrison album Tupelo Honey, originally released on WB records (WS 1950) in 1971:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT recent reissue -Original White Label WB Promo labels -1A/1A first pressing etched in deadwax
-Original paste-down gatefold cover -Original Poster -Original WB date-correct paper inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover
-Vinyl comes in poly audiophile inner sleeve
Note: This is an rare 1A first pressing--and is very hard to come by.
I did not unfold the poster to photograph it because it looks perfect, like it's never been opened--no seam wear, no pinholes or tape marks--a beautiful example!
Condition: Cover is very, no significant signs of wear or age. Still has its original shine. No ring wear or seam splits, just a little bit of rub here and there. Corners are sharp, not bumped, just a tiny hint of rub. Spine clean and titles clear. Back is super clean. Front has a couple scratches (see photo closeup). Nicely preserved original.
Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl is also nice, still retains its original glossy shine. Side One looks nice, but Side Two has a light scuff on the first song that causes a faint tick each rotation about half way through it, but it's really not too obvious and doesn't really detract from the enjoyment on my system. Overall very nice sound quality otherwise. Spindle holes are clean, unmarked. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
