HE IS the master of his game. What a voice and what a career - the ultimate example of a true artiste. This album contines the work started with 'Astral Weeks' and pushes the envelope with yet another stunning album of incredible sophistication and pure unbridled passion. It always amazed me how this guy could look like a postman but sound like the blackest bad ass soul singer of all time. Truly a magnificient work... and that voice! Killer tracks include 'Wild Night', 'Old Old Woodstock', 'I Wanna Roo You' and 'Moonshine Whiskey'. Oh and is that the delicious Janet Planet on horseback being led proudly by a weridly smiling Van?
Beautiful copy - so hard to find in top shape, and on the green Warner's label.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. Only one or two spindle marks on label and no signs of any other use. Grades as MINT-!
Cover: Again only light signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff and square. Cover has been carefully cleaned at some point with presumably a cloth as you can see some faint rubbing lines in the right light - otherwise near perfect. Grades as Ex
