Vance Gilbert -- Here I'm Waiting LP

Original 1985 stereo private pressing on Hahavalle Records (Brookline MA) (catalog # 44088).

Here is the ultra-rare unknown real debut album by noted Boston folk singer Vance Gilbert. Privately pressed in 1985 on the vanity label Hahavalle Records, this album predates his Philo Records debut by a full nine years. There is not one single reference to this album's existence anywhere on the internet; none of the Vance Gilbert biographies or discographies even mention any 80's albums, but... here it is... 9 unknown songs, with lyrics on back, and some nice homemade graphics. There couldn't have been very many of these pressed, likely only 100 or several hundred copies. And it has obviously never been reissued in any format. I purchased this copy locally, still sealed new.

The album was recorded in Newton, Mass., and produced & arranged by Vance Gilbert. All songs are by Vance Gilbert, Disismye Music. The musicians baking him up are Oscar Stagnaro, Billy Kilson, Kenny Wenzel, John Brolley.

CONDITION: Cover VG- to VG / Vinyl MINT   I purchased this LP still sealed new and opened it just to check it -- vinyl is absolutely pristine, as brand new; still in shrinkwrap, the cover is rather flimsy and has creased at all four corners under the shrinkwrap, and there's a very small waterstain at lower left corner... so it grades just under VG even though it is still under shrinkwrap and was just now opened.

grade only used if record is brand new.
